I am so very excited to have received this scholarship. Thank you for facilitating this opportunity on my behalf.
I am originally from Syracuse, New York but have been in Charlotte since 1993. I studied English Literature and Psychology st State University of New York College at Oswego and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1992. I am 43 years old and Surgical Technology is my second career. This semester was the first time in over twenty years I made the President's List, at CPCC.
I currently balance family life with a part time job in property management for a small business I own.
I can't wait to begin a career in the medical field. Medicine has been an interest of mine since I was about 30. Every day of clinical class is exciting and I feel I conquer fears, gain confidence and become a stronger person as my education progresses.
